I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. My reading habits even made it into the family Christmas letter one year (I'd read "Are You There God? It's Me Margaret" 12 times that year. :)).

I mainly read romance and thanks to the great people I've met on here, I've discovered Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, but... more »

Liz ~ Julia was great and fun to talk to. And you're right, she was funny! I'm with you on mixing paranormal with historical - it's such a unique mix and it seems like historical authors find really different paranormal abilities and "conditions" to use in their books (like in The Trouble with Moonlight). I LOVE Amanda Quick, but I haven't read any of the Arcane books. Looks like more for my TBR pile. Thanks for the suggestion. :0)

    Have a great weekend ~

I just finished Lorraine Heath's Texas Trilogy and think you might really lime these stories. They are set in the mid- to late 1800s with great heroines and a family of brothers. The first is Texas Destiny.

Liz ~ Yes, I am reading the Bridgerton books. I love them! I got to meet Julia once at a convention. She was so nice and down to earth, easy to talk to. It was fun! Right now I'm reading Romancing Mister Bridgerton. One of my favorites of Donna MacMeans is The Trouble with Moonlight. I haven't read The Seduction of a Duke but have that next on my list. Here's Donna's website: http://www.donnamacmeans.com/

    Have a good night!

I'm about 1/2 done with After The Night - I'm really liking it but you can tell it was written in the early 90's so in some parts it's not very PC. The only issue I have with it is Noelle and Monica and how stupid and weak they are. I can't believe that Gray would go to all of that trouble to run Faith out of town because he doesn't want his mom to know that he's with her. And that Monica can't tell her mom about dating the sherriff. Also - I can't believe that with all of Gray's money that he hasn't looked for his dad or where he's been for the 12 years. I do like the chemistry between Gray and Faith. I've always liked books were the heroine comes from a poor family and turns it around and becomes successful.

On your shelf - I'm curious about the Suzanne Brockmann books. Is it a series? I've heard many good things about Brockmann but haven't read anything by her yet.

Bugetta, my sister was visiting me in FL (we're both from MA) and flew home today. She's not a reader like I am, but wanted a book for the plane. She couldn't find one to"Morning Glory" and was enjoying it this morning before she left. That was such a great book - Ms. Spencer wrote so many good ones.
