Well i do love to read and organizing is probably a close second so this makes this site pretty neat. I am also a member of paperbackswap (banananpancakes) where i get pretty much all the books i read these days. I am participating in the A-Z author challenge, and am still looking for authors that start with X and Y.

May nominees have been posted on the Good Reads Book Group! Make sure to stop by and vote by March 17th! Remember, everyone who votes gets a chance to be the next member to select nominees for the following month. Our April winner was "Soul Catcher" by Michael C. White. Discussion will begin on April first.

I found myself writing down titles while going through your shelf. Likes Siberian Huskies...while a fairly brain candy type of mystery, Murder on the Iditarod by Sue Henry does tell a lot about sled dogs and the race (which I follow on the internet every year).

Thanks for adding me as a friend. And I'm a fellow member of PBSwap.com as well. Also, might I suggest Yasmine Galenorn as the Y author? I think she's a great author with a variety of books and her name works if its the first name your after for Y. If its the last name, another good author is Rebecca York. Take care and have a great day. ~LV~

I just bought Another Day in the Frontal Lobe and only read the first few pages. It does look good. I used to work for two neurosurgeons, so anything about that field fascinates me.
My goodness you have read a lot in a less than a year! How do you do it?

sorry to have taken a while to get a reply to you. I'm preparing for a national test in March and it seems all my minutes are set for a specific purpose. In fact...i might not even be able to pick up a book until after March!! How tragic! But PERKS: Great book. heartbreaker. Makes you want to go back to high school just to be the kind of person who could find the true value in those kids we all dismissed as boring or as dorks... well, not quite so much go back to high school...maybe for a minute. But yeah, this kid Charlie, really gets under your skin and when the book is over, you wish you could forever keep in touch with him. Beyond that, I do hope you like East of Eden. My favorite book. Frankenstein, Joy Luck Club, and Cider House Rules are others. On my "shelf" at home to grab as soon as I'll be able to are The Liars Club and Kite Runner. Oh, and Middlesex. Anyway, thanks for your friends request! If you want to have Perks sent to you, let me know! I might have time to do that, actually.

    Hello,

I have been looking at the Pulitzer prize lists lately as well for reading ideas. Sometime I like them some times I don't. One I recently finished was 'The Optimist's Daughter' by Eudora Welty. I would highly recommend this one. I also love Steinbeck's Grapes of wrath, but I think you had that one on your list already. I didn't like The Shipping News.
