How We Die is a little macabre and quite fascinating. In telling how it is we die the author tells a lot about how we live, a story he expanded in a subsequent book. Hope you enjoy it, if that is the right choice of words.
Am adding it right now. Have recently read a whole slew of books, none of which I would particularly recommend. I need a good one!!
Picoult is the same for me. Plain Truth was ok, but they're all a little disturbing. My Sister's Keeper has been my favorite of hers, but I haven't read too many.
well, so far it seems a little too ambitious. we'll see how it goes.

Congo was a pretty intense book, very fascinating. The ending was the worst EVER. Actually very typical Creighton. It was as if he got writer's block and the best he could come up with was, "Out of nowhere a hot air balloon arrives and everyone is saved." THE END. Totally lame.

I am LOVING My Sister's Keeper. It's hard to read as a mother. I would like to think I wouldn't do what the mom did, but I don't know how I would react if I were in that position. I really like the characters though. And I'm dying to know what the dog is for!!! Haven't gotten that far yet.
I just finished an AWESOME book called "One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd." It's a must-read. Check it out on my shelf. You'd love it.

On The Innocent Man, I don't know if I can give it a fair shake because I lived in Oklahoma for 10 years and was working for The Oklahoman when Ron Williamson was exonerated. It was an interesting read, but I already knew the story minus some of the details of course.

Hey Becky: The Testament is my favorite. Maybe followed by A Time to Kill. The Testament's plot line follows closely to the type of work I do with estate planning, so that was a fun read for me. I do have the Mother Teresa books... you'll enjoy them. Jay

Oh, good. I felt the same way about "The Dive..." So "The Wedding Dress" isn't that good? I am enjoying "A Long Way Down," and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" is on my holds list at the library.
