Hey, Becky! I thought Escape was crazy! She's a strong woman. I kept wondering how she remembered so many details--my brain doesn't work that way. What did you think. Yeah--let's definitely do breakfast--let's e-mail and pick a date!

I am LOVING My Sister's Keeper. It's hard to read as a mother. I would like to think I wouldn't do what the mom did, but I don't know how I would react if I were in that position. I really like the characters though. And I'm dying to know what the dog is for!!! Haven't gotten that far yet.
I just finished an AWESOME book called "One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd." It's a must-read. Check it out on my shelf. You'd love it.

On The Innocent Man, I don't know if I can give it a fair shake because I lived in Oklahoma for 10 years and was working for The Oklahoman when Ron Williamson was exonerated. It was an interesting read, but I already knew the story minus some of the details of course.
Beck,I'm loving this site. Thanks for the recommendation! Just finished Peace Like a River. Incredible.
BTW, How did you hear about 'The Shack'?

Hi Becky, The Shack is a pretty amazing book, it's one of the few I have that I want to read again and again. I heard about it on a pod-cast called 'The God Journey'.Later,Rick

Hey (Becky?), Thanks for dropping by. Grisham is incredibly talented! I didn't know that he was working on a new one - that's exciting. My article can be read here: http://www.relevantmagazine.com/life_article.php?id=7451Thanks.

Hey Becky: The Testament is my favorite. Maybe followed by A Time to Kill. The Testament's plot line follows closely to the type of work I do with estate planning, so that was a fun read for me. I do have the Mother Teresa books... you'll enjoy them. Jay
Hey Becky... Looks like you've read quite a few Grisham novels.... Which one did you enjoy the most? - Jay.

Oh, good. I felt the same way about "The Dive..." So "The Wedding Dress" isn't that good? I am enjoying "A Long Way Down," and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" is on my holds list at the library.

P.S. - Sweet new picture! Are you at the Denver Botanical Gardens? I think I remember seeing that on your blog...
Thanks for the note! And...thanks for cruising through my "wish list" of books to be read to see if you owned any on my list. I'd love to borrow all three KB books and the AL one on Sat. Looking forward to tamales at the farmers market! :)
I read "The Dive From Clausen's Pier," which I likes OK. And am in the middle of "A Long Way Down," which is interesting. I have "The Wedding Dress" to read next. I'm addicted to this website. Great find! Syd

I read Kite Runner last year and enjoyed it. I will check out Peace Like a River. Emaliah recommended The Waiting Years, which I read a few weeks ago. It was beautifully written.http://www.shelfari.com/emaliahhttp://www.shelfari.com/books/507739/The-Waiting-Years
Saw your blog post. Thanks for falling in love with Shelfari. I'm quite fond of it myself. Of course, I work here too. If you have a sec, recommend me a book. I'm getting ready to jettison the five I'm reading simultaneously. Nothing is keeping my attention. :)
