Hail, fellow Tar Heel well met! I grew up in Chapel Hill before I-40 came through, when it was still a college town. I'm pleased to see " Lying Awake" on your shelf; hardly anyone seems to have read it. Along those lines, I recommend "Five for Sorrow, Ten for Joy" by Rumer Godden.
