I'm trying to read more than i watch television and movies but sometimes i can't find the books that interest me... so I'm here.

I do C.A.D. for a living and i love it! I also like to draw and do artsy/crafty things (both of which I'm not too talented at but i try)

    I'm okay. I hope you're well too. Just finished Glenn Beck's An Inconvenient Book...funny and informative. May not be up your alley though. I'm trying to decide what to start next...
    Crime Scene Jerusalem by Alton Gansky
    Living With Less by Mark Tabb
    Maximum Ride by James Patterson
    ...one of those three.
    Also, 3 of my friends and I have started reading the Bible through in a year...never done that before.

    For a while I was thinking to myself, "Hmm. Shane Claiborne...Shane Claiborne. How do I know that name?" Then I realized I had heard of him on a Relevent Magazine podcast a while back.

    Thanks for bringing him back into the forefront of my thoughts again.

    I though Miller's "Through" was good, but not as good as "Blue". I thought it was a decent memoir of his trip...even a couple laugh out loud moments for me.

    As for Rob Bell, I loved Velvet Elvis almost as much as Blue Like Jazz. Sex God is on my wish list. I'll borrow it from my friend (reojames) when I get through a couple other books.

    I'll surely check out Shane Claiborne.

    One that changed a perspective for me is Re-Understanding Prayer by Kyle Lake.

    If there is a such thing I think I just had a book-gasm when I looked at the other people who had the same books as me... then again I did just finish reading "Midnight Cowboy" so that could explain how my book-filled mind is in the gutter..
