I remember one of the first series I ever truly got into was the Abhorsen Trilogy (also known as the Old Kingdom Trilogy), which ultimately got me hooked on reading. I'm one of those readers that HAS to buy a book to read it. I just love the thrill of picking up a new book, even if I'm not entirely sure if I'll like it.But, as of late I''ve finally started to go to the library. My wallet really needed it.
As for types of books I read, I tend to stick to science fiction and fantasy. I'm usually not into romance, unless it's laced into the adventure of the rest of the story. A book where the main story is just about romance usually bores me to death. Of course, there are always acceptations. Anything with mythology in it always gets my immediate attention. I love it when author actually do research about past myths and work it into their own story, while staying true to the original myth. « less
