Are you enjoying All American Poem? I've met the author and his poet brother, both from Portland, Oregon.
Many great poets here. I also like Michael Mc Griff, who writes about his childhood on the Oregon coast and the poor community.
I enjoy poetry: writing, reading, attending readings.
Hello (Bethany? Breid?), and thanks for accepting my Shelfari-friend request. I too loved So Long, See You Tomorrow. Please consider reading A World Lost, by Wendell Berry. It is every bit as good as SLSYT.

Thanks, Bethany. I love your line about writing one bad poem a day. Maybe it's like painting, just take care of the quantity and let God (or whoever) take care of the quality. :) Where in the Pacific Northwest are you? We took a driving trip in Oregon in September. It was spectacular. My grandmother was born and lived prat of her childhood in the area around Hanford, Leavenworth, and Spokane.

Hi Breid:
Try Edgar Allen Poe's complete works if you really want to know how to read a poem. With Poe's poems they read for you.
hello. I hope (through my profile) that you already have an idea on how I read the most mysterious books of our time...hehe, I am not sneaking all the time. I eventually learned how to "borrow" or something like that. Anyway, I am not familiar with "Anam Cara", but I have searched the Net to have a glimpse of it. It sure is a great read, based on how Ebay promoted it. But unfortunately, (I guess), it's not available in the Philippines. I sure hope everybody else, specially you, would really enjoy the book.Thanks.
