Inquisitive, jealous, discussion-hungry optimist-realist analogy-hunting skeptic, stargazer, bookworm, web developer & audiophile, born and raised in northern Sweden, wondering about the world, and worlds of other minds, watching the northern lights and petting the polar bears in the streets. Recently grown addicted to good non-fiction books - especially on the topics of science, religion and cognitive science. I also enjoy strange, dark, mind-tickling fantasy/sci-fi tales when I want to exchange my current reality for a more stimulating one. I generally like the mesh of gritty realism (perhaps a bit of troublesome magic spliced in) with beautiful, balanced, melodic writing. Susanna Clarke is a good example. (I really hope she's working away on her next tome right now...) « less
