Hi there! I'm an English teacher but I'm not English so you can guess what I teach...
I'm growing fonder of Shelfari everyday as after having not read much for a year ( well, OK, maybe more : maybe that's the reason why :

Hiya.......... ugh. I just caught up with your responses from a month ago. Geez.... I am so sorry. My colleague is a prof of instructional science. She and I do research in external representations-- graphics and text. I also do research in distributed cognition and aesthetics-- all converging on learning. English teacher???? Cool! What grade?

Hi Carop. Just a note say "Hi". I haven't been on Shelfari in a while. Reading and writing about aesthetics and learning since I have to be in Europe in 10 days to present research.

    Bonjour Caro,
je ne suis pas une experte en littérature canadienne française, puisque je lis beaucoup en anglais. Par contre, je recommende fortement Arlette Cousture, et une auteure qui est très populaire (mais que je n'ai pas lue encore) est Marie Laberge.

Hi Carop: So, you are from France-- such a magical country. I love it there. I visit there every summer-- and again this summer in July. I will be working with a colleague at the University of Grenoble for a few day-- then play for a few days there after I go to Berlin for the International Congress of Psychology. I think RNP rocks. He does an incredible job researching and wrote a great novel on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict (Exile)-- great story infused with well researched issues (and a heart-wrenching love story)-- loved it. Hey, guess what? I am reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. Have you read it? The story weaves great history of the Cathars and is set in Carcasonne and the sw region of France. Beautiful part of the world. Have you read it?

    Hi Carop ~

You are not English, but your spelling of favorite is... hmmm.... ; ) You have a great shelf of classics, especially Hemingway-- one of my favorites. Also, Lucretius on the Nature of Things-- intriguing by the title. So, welcome friend! It is nice have you. What are your reading now?
