Hello,Why so quiet? Hardly any postings on the group...What are you reading at present? Am into Nine Lives by Dalrymple. Its been a good read so far, specially the chapter where he describes his visit to the dargah of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sindh.A simple and straightforward commentary on Sufism, its origin and the dangers it faces from radical Islam. The chapter on Theyyam dancers of Kerala was also quite revealing. Keep in touch...
Mr. Boulevard, oops it's time to take a stroll on the memory lane to the date when u have started this noble group. It was my privilage to be the first member (u being the administrator, excluding u as member). Now the tree(group) has grown to it's full strength and aghast it has a full strength of 750 members and I see there are around 127 discussion. Couple writers giving there valuable commnets and discussing there point. But it's little disappointment to see that u stepped back sitting as a mute spectator. I expect shelfari owners to honour u for forming a such great community which motivates the people to read in country of ours with a sizeble unread population.kudos dear friend.
i love ted moseby...

Thanks for the list.....
Thanks for compiling this list.I would certainly add more as when when i read books of this genre.Right now am into Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. This is my first book of this kind.Must say it is quite fascinating.Could you please include this too in the list as it is a widely read book all over the world.
Thanks for the compiling the list! There are some there which I have not read and will definitely look forward to reading.
thanks for the list. i really have some catching up to do, to be called an Indian. BTW, i did not see MK Gandhi's book "My Experiments with Truth". I have not read it, but i thought perhaps, that should have been must read...
