I adore books, the actual tangible book is a piece of serenity to me. I prefer to be surrounded by books and I am calmest in bookstores. I absolutely hate reading or having read a book I don't own. Therefore, I spend a great deal of money on replacing books that have been lost, books that apparently grew legs and left, borrowed books that became stolen books, books I stupidly sold in college, books that I have read so many times (meaning: every page is covered in highlighter, corners are dog-eared, cat-eared, duck-eared and whatever other way to reiterate the importance of the words upon a page, ink and sharpie of every color, underlined passages that eventually merged into the entirety of the book, margins have no visible background left and all notes have formed a colorful but illegible frame around the typed text) and some favorites that never cease to have a new and improved cover, binding, paper weight, trim size or font.
