I'll try and lay my hands on both the novels that you suggested. As of now I've a few books that I need to finish off.

Ever since I read and heard about Saladin Ayubi, I became fascinated with his character. Surprisingly I frequently visit most of the book stores in Dubai but manage to find just one book on him - "Saladin: Sultan and Uniter of Islam" by Stanley Lane-Poole. From the few pages that I flipped through it looked more like a history course book. I'm sure there must be better books!

Do suggest me a good book whenever you read one. By the way which part of the world are you from? I'm originally from India working in Dubai, UAE. Reading habits are also influenced by the geographical location! :)
