I love reading! There's no comfort like a good book can provide.

I love learning in general and what better way to learn than by reading? So I read, and I read, and I read. I read to learn not only some new information but to learn more about life.

The books I have read have made me. It gave me a deep understanding of... more »

I'm happy that you enjoyed "I, Claudius". To be honest, it's been many years since I last read that book. I bought it initially out of curiosity -- I remember Cookie Monster saying "Me, Claudius" in one episode of Sesame Street. The story gave me greater insight concerning Roman civilization, as well as human nature. Seeing the book on your list reminded me that I had it. Muchas gracias!

Thanks for adding me. Compared to other countries, books are more expensive in the Philippines -- as the Filipino popular writer Bob Ong comments. [BTW, have you read his books? I just bought his "Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas" today.] Consequently, Filipinos would rather spend on less expensive entertainment. I wonder ... how do you acquire your books? Do you just borrow from the library or from people you know? Or, like me, do you frequent bookstores [National Book Store, A Different Bookstore, Fully Booked, Book Sale, etc.] and occasionally buy from them? Have a pleasant Holy Week and happy perusing...

I have no idea how to reply on my own note wall thingie (not used to the site yet). Do you know how? :)
I'm sure you'll get there: the house, and definitely the books, teehee. It'll take years, but it'll be fun! ;)

Ako sad, I like her writing. =) I wish these note things were more user-friendly, so that conversations wouldn't be skipping form one profile to another, hehe.

I enjoyed "The Hours" a LOT, actually. Yeah, I haven't even halfway completed my shelf yet: I decided to make a sheet on my computer first, of all the books we have at home, and I haven't gotten through even half a shelf! :O It's so kapoy, but I sorta enjoy doing it, believe it or not. I should've been a librarian, LOL.

Hi Popcorn!... I was browsing around, and I noticed your name. I thought it was cute. I like the book selection you have chosen. I saw that you were from the Philippines, and thought it would be nice to have friends from all over the world. Glad to meet you!
