Hi! My love for reading started as soon as I hit kindergarten. The library was my favorite place to go during the school day. At home my mom used to catch me hiding under my covers at night reading a book when I was supposed to be asleep:) Now, I am a proud mom of 2 little boys and a wife to a man that puts up with my late night... more »

Good luck with Love Walked In. At first I had a hard time with it, but I kept going and I liked the book. I agree with you about Tully, she was shelfish, but she came through when it counted the most. Well talk to you soon. :-) Karen

Wow 3 boys! Part of me always wanted 3 boys, the other part wasn't sure if I could handle it. God decided it wasn't for me!

Wasn't the book awesome. It was one of the saddest ending of a book I ever read!! I am so glad Johnny stayed with her because he really did love her. Kate was always plagued by her fear that Johnny was really in love with Tully, but I hope at the end she realized how much he loved her. One of my takes on the book is about the sacrifices women make for family or career. Neither Tully or Kate had "it all", but if you put the two together they had "it all". And also how Tully was going to be able to pull strings so Kate's daughter would pursue her education. I am so glad you enjoyed it!!
I am reading Belong to Me the sequel to Love Walked In and it is very good so far.

Congratulations on baby #3! I have 3 small children, my oldest son is almost 6, my daughter is 4 and my youngest boy will be 2 in September. How old are you children? How exciting, and busy I can imagine! Take care!

Would anyone be interested using Skype for our book discussion? It's free & we can all chat with each other instantly.
I was thinking it might be interesting to use a service like Skype or Yahoo Instant Messenger for our book discussion. This way we can all talk instantly without constantly refreshing our browser. Let me know any concerns you might have on the idea. And if like the idea I can go ahead and set up a discussion group contact list. I'll just need your user ID to add you to the contact list.

We will be discussing Jemima J by Jane Green Monday, June 29th and for those of you who have read Yada Yada Prayer group book one, we will be discussing it Thursday, July 2nd. Let me know if you plan on joining in the discussion!

    Thanks,
    Melody

    June's pick~ Jemima J by Jane Green

    Synopsis:
~Jemima Jones is overweight. About one hundred pounds overweight. Treated like a maid by her thin and social-climbing roommates, and lorded over by the beautiful Geraldine (less talented but better paid) at the Kilburn Herald, Jemima finds that her only consolation is food. Add to this her passion for her charming, sexy, and unobtainable colleague Ben, and Jemima knows her life is in need of a serious change. When she meets Brad, an eligible California hunk, over the Internet, she has the perfect opportunity to reinvent herself–as JJ, the slim, beautiful, gym-obsessed glamour girl. But when her long-distance Romeo demands that they meet, she must conquer her food addiction to become the bone-thin model of her e-mails–no small feat.

With a fast-paced plot that never quits and a surprise ending no reader will see coming, Jemima J is the chronicle of one woman's quest to become the woman she's always wanted to be, learning along the way a host of lessons about attraction, addiction, the meaning of true love, and, ultimately, who she really is.~
