Hello I am Jackie, 27 year old married mother of two with a deep love for books. I cherished every minute that I can steal away for my books. After looking for a way to share all the news, recommendations, and love I have for the books I read I found Shelfari and Librarything which I check regularly. I also have a blog at... more »

Thanks Jackie, I'll add that to my wishlist. I love anything that has a touch of paranormal in them so thats a bonus that it's a tearjerker PLUS a twist of the paranormal. I will let you know when I get my copy.

I'm not a fan of books which drag on neither Jackie. Hopefully it will be good read though as I'm a sucker for tearjerkers! Are there any books which have made you cry that you would recommend?

Hi Jackie, wow you sound like you've been busy! I'm going to look up the books you've mentioned. I've caught the vampire bug again I'm afraid and in the past five weeks have read all of the Vampire Academy series, the Blue Bloods and some of the Sookie Stackhouse books. What is it about vampires that appeals to me so i just do not know :P

I'm going to try a different genre when I complete the Sookie books although I have the Black dagger Brotherhood books beckoning me. I've got a couple of books from the library waiting to be read though. James Patterson's "Sam's Letters To Jennifer" and "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" along with Louise Douglas's "The Love Of My Life". Also Nicholas Sparks' "True Believer" and Charlotte Bingham's "Out Of The Blue". They sound really good if you're interested in looking them up.

Thanks for telling me the name of your blog, I'll definately check it out. Meanwhile take care and keep in touch. Bye x

Hi Jackie, I hadn't heard of Rules of Attraction or Perfect Chemistry prior to you mentioning them but I've added them on my wishlist now so thank you for the recommendations. I'm a paranormal fan myself but it's nice to take a break sometimes and read something different. I've been reading a couple of Jodi Picoult's books lately which have been quite good particularly Change Of Heart. Anyway good luck reading Rules of Attraction. :)

Hi Jackie, you are totally justified in taking things slow. You've been hurt deeply and the children have suffered too. It's going to be a while before you will be able to trust him again or go back to feeling the same way about him as you did when you married him. You are right too that if he is indeed committed he should be more than willing to wait and be patient. He's got to make it up to you and the kids. Hopefully he has realised what he almost lost and how lucky he is to be given a second chance. I wish you the best Jackie.

I have for books by Jodi Piccoult - The Pact, Second Glance, Salem Falls and Change Of Heart. I read The Pact two days ago. It was about a suicide pact made between two teenagers which has devastating consequences for their families.

Until the phone calls came at three o'clock on a November morning, the Golds and their neighbors, the Hartes, had been inseparable. It was no surprise to anyone when their teenage children, Chris and Emily, began showing signs that their relationship was moving beyond that of lifelong friends. But now seventeen-year-old Emily is dead—shot with a gun her beloved and devoted Chris pilfered from his father's cabinet as part of an apparent suicide pact—leaving two devastated families stranded in the dark and dense predawn, desperate for answers about an unthinkable act and the children they never really knew.

I'm reading Second Glance now. This is what its about:

Do we love across time? Or in spite of it? A developer has slated an ancient Abenaki Indian burial ground for a strip mall, and now strange happenings have the inhabitants of tiny Comtosook, Vermont, talking of supernatural forces at work. Ross Wakeman is a ghost hunter who's never seen a ghost -- all he's searching for is something to end the pain of losing his fiancée, Aimee, in a car accident. He tried suicide -- any number of times. Now Ross lives only for a way to connect with Aimee from beyond. Searching the site for signs of the paranormal, Ross meets the mysterious Lia, who sparks him to life for the first time in years. But the discoveries that await Ross are beyond anything he could dream of in this world -- or the next.

I've heard of Rachel Vincent's Shifters series and have them on my wishlist. They sound quite good. I love books that come out as part of a series. I've got the Wolves of Mercy Falls on my wishlist too. Hopefully by the time I get round to reading the first two books, the third one 'Forever' will be released too. Did Linger finish with a cliffhanger? I've just looked The Dresskeeper up and I really like that sort of thing so please let me know how you get on. Anyway take care Jackie won't you. Bye!

I'm pleased that we are going to be seeing alot more of you too! Let me know what your current reading books are. I'm reading Jodi Picoult at the moment. Have you heard of her or read anything by her?

Hi Jackie and thanks for adding me. I'm currently reading Road of the Dead by Kevin Brooks. Have you heard of it? This is what its about:

On a storm-ravaged night, a 19-year-old girl is kidnapped, raped, and killed. Three days later, her two younger brothers set out in search of her murderer. Cole, 17, is a dark-eyed devil who doesn't care if he lives or dies, while Ruben, 14, is a strange child who sometimes, inexplicably, experiences sensations above and beyond his own. This is the story of the boys' journey from their half-gypsy home on a London junk lot to the ghostly moors of Devon, where they hope and fear to find the truth about their sister's death. It's a long road, cold and hard and violent. It's THE ROAD OF THE DEAD.

Its excellently written - I'm really impressed with this author and think I will look up other titles by him. What are you currently reading? I apologise for replying so late but its murder trying to log in my account sometimes as My sons fight over their turn on the PC!!

Hi there, I'm very sorry to hear about your husband - not very festive of him was it? Men. Still you have all your friends to support you if you ever need to chat. Books are always good for getting lost in too. Whats Milestones about? I'm on the last book in Kat Richardson's Greywalker series which consisits of four books. Have you read them? Here's a quick synopsis just in case:

    Book 1 'Greywalker'
Recovering from a near-fatal accident in which she dies for two minutes, Seattle Private Investigator Harper Blaine develops the ability to move through the Grey: the realm of ghosts, vampires, witches, and magic that exists between our world and the next. Harper wants her life to return to normal, but when her clients turn out to be paranormal, the reluctant Greywalker is drawn into the affairs of ambitious vampires and angry ghosts. As her cases converge, Harper uncovers a plot that threatens Seattle's Grey world and must choose between honor and survival.

    Book 2 'Poltergeist'
Halloween is approaching when Harper agrees to investigate the members of a research group who've been attempting to create an artificial poltergeist. The head researcher suspects someone's been faking the phenomena, but Harper's investigation reveals something entirely different--they've succeeded. When one of the group's members is killed in a brutal and inexplicable fashion, Harper must determine if the murderer is the ghost itself or someone all too human.

    In Book 3 'Underground
Pioneer Square's homeless are turning up dead and mutilated, and zombies have been seen roaming the underground--the city buried beneath modern Seattle. When Harper's friend Quinton believes he may be implicated in the deaths, he persuades her to investigate. But the killer is no mere murderer--it is a creature of ancient legend. And Harper must deal with both the living and the dead to stop the monster and its master...unless they stop her first.

    In Book 4 Vanished
For Seattle investigator Harper Blaine, her own case may prove the most difficult to solve. Why did she as opposed to others with near death experiences become a Greywalker? When Harper begins digging into her own past, she unearths some unpleasant truths about her father's early death as well as a mysterious puzzle. She sets out to find his ghost but encounters only a void where he should be, leaving her with more unanswered questions. Before she can continue her search, Harper gets an offer she can't refuse to go to London and pursue an investigation on behalf of some very demanding vampires. But there are unpleasant surprises waiting for her, and Harper soon discovers her present trouble in England is entangled with her dark past back in Seattle and her ultimate destiny as a Greywalker.

Anyway chin up and hang in there sweetheart - you never know your hubby may see sense and decide he can't bear to be without you and the kids. They can't survive two minutes without us! Take care Bye xx
