I'm a first grade teacher in Bakersfield. I love to read, but I don't always have the time or the patience to get into a book...unless it's great. All recommendations welcome!!!!

Welcome Anaya! I teach 7th grade, so I know that there are times when I don't have patience to read either! I've found listening to books very useful for those times! I also love books that are just fun and fast! Especially in the summer!

Check out my self for more ideas!

Hi Anaya, Welcome to Shelfari. I see you are asking for recommendations. . . . We've had a lot of enthusiasm for Everest is Hollow -The story features a teenage Indiana Jones-style archaeologist. His nickname is "Trouble." Together with his friends Nuru and Tattoo, Trouble climbs Mount Everest's difficult West Ridge. Fierce weather and snow leopards add to the risk of an already challenging expedition. Their risks multiply when Trouble enters a cave and realizes Everest is hollow. Inside the world's tallest mountain, he discovers an abandoned city, the key to a lost civilization built on treasures of the past. How it was done is a mystery. The only clue is a strange creature, the last of his species. For a sneak peak at the first chapter, please visit http://siliconvalleynovel.com/EIH.aspx. Hope to hear from you. Have Fun!
