Left Behind is the first book in a thirteen book series, and it is the best selling of them all. It is based on "Revelation", a chapter in the New Testament. The main character is an airline pilot, Captain Rayford Steele. Shortly after take-off, he is told there are about 100 missing seats on the plane. After panicking for a while, him and a few others decide to find the truth of what is going on.
