I think maybe I would have enjoed it more if I had not had the misfortunate idea to read it in a completely appalling translation. Supposing I would have overcome it, it would have been next to impossible to overlook the notes on the text all in the line of: 'America is a capitalist corrupt country, socialism is good, Babbitt is corrupted from the ideas of the Revolution' and so on. (the notes come from Mrs.Sofia Marian, apparently really anxious to make it look very well for the party even if most of them could barely read.)
The book was printed in 1965 when in Romania unfortunately the only way to publish a book meant to put it as communist-like as possible. She dis a fine job at that!
