“Not bad but could offer a lot more insight. The author seems to spend a lot of time depicting the Parisian intelligentsia rather than really depicting a French picture. Paris and the provinces are very different. Most French people don't have a bishop or a noble for dinner. So why talk about it that much? Also who cares about EuroDisney that much? Not French people. I believe some of this is the fault of the translator but at least 50% of the book seems to talk about things that doesn't really seem relevant to the French. Otherwise some parts are really funny. ”
