Judging a book by its cover isnt necessarily a bad thing . After researching the author i found out, among other things, that he was put in jail (many times) most notably by napoleon bonaparte for stirring up controversy on his theories of hedonism and his libertine tendancies. And any author...

Dear Friend, "Theres is no taboo" De Sade. What can I say .... I was curious. Leaving the other (ahem) shocking parts of the book behind, we see a philosophy that is totally different from anything that we have been taught and lived. A philosophy without morals and boundaries. It is no great suprised that De Sade was put into a mental institution in that time with France being a devout Catholic etc. What really interested me is how morality, religion etc can be set aside with the temptation of our baseness, as Freud would have said our "ID" that part of our personality that is seeking personal bliss in any form. It goes without saying that this book is as radical as you can get. You must have strong personality and inner faith before you read this one it may sway any other person.

    3 nobles ASSeverate their preference
    for uninCUMbered ‘situations’,
    thereby BEDamning a teenage
    virgin with instructional libertinage
    via grandioSE MENages à many,
underscored by a 47pg diatribe on
    religion and mORALs as packaged
within one of the most seductive
    illustrations i’ve seen in ages

After researching the author i found out, among other things, that he was put in jail (many times) most notably by napoleon bonaparte for stirring up controversy on his theories of hedonism and his libertine tendancies. And any author that is controversial enough to be put in jail is worth the read.
