I feel that this is a must read for any woman or man living with a woman who has turned 50 or 51 etc. I felt like the author was talking directly to me and telling me that my life was far from over and that new adventures were only just beginning.

Sorry about the typo in the question but I couldn't find an edit button. Anyway, I think Martin will meet Nan in the driveway. She reveals enough about him to know that he does love her and is willing to do what she needs. I do, however, think that they will settle back into own routines. They might do her dinner out on Newbury St, but they won't buy her dream house or make any drastic changes. I don't think she really needs the drastic changes anyway. The marriage will definitely survive. I think it is a strong marriage with 2 people who genuinely love each other and are mature enough to know and accept each others faults and mannerisms. I almost think that this trip will make the marriage stronger.

Nan and Martin after the trip...

How do you think this trip will affect the Nan and Martin's marriage. Will Martin greet Nan in the driveway as she is hoping or will he remain cold and aloof in the house? Will there be any real change or will they settle back into old routines? Will the marriage survive?
