• Tralala: A young woman who uses her beauty to steal money from soldiers and who can find no escape from her loveless existance.
• Georgette: A very intelligent, romantic and educated gay transvestite, aka George Hansen.
• Vinnie: A disaffected and volatile youth who has never been on the right side of the law. Stole a hearse at age 11. At age 15 had been arrested 11 times.
• Alex: Owner and manager of the Greek diner - a local hangout.
• Arthur Hansen: Older brother of George "Georgette" Hansen who hates all homosexuals and especially his transvestite younger brother.
