This collection contains some of the gems by Rabindranath Tagore, who undoubtedly put India on the literary map of the world. These stories hold the readers enthrall from the opening sentence itself, bringing the various characters to life in vivid detail.
- Tagore (Rabindranath), the nobel prize awarded poet and author, is the primary author of this work. His name belongs on the page as the author, while I am unaware of the translator of this particular edition. But Tagore was more than capable of translating his own work and indeed his translations of some of th poems of Gitanjali being read by some of his British friends is what led to his world wide fame and the Nobel prize.
