This book was really not very interesting. The plot line was very thin and seemed like just an excuse for Lord John to be bouncing around town asking questions and also giving him an excuse to go see Jamie Fraser.

I was not intrigued by the "mystery" and honestly I think I must have really missed something because I still don't even know what the title of the books means?

The first Lord John book was entertaining but this one was definitely disappointing.
