She was a clasically trained dancer and an Army nurse in WWII and what comes through in her poetry is a dancers attention to movement and a nurse's sensitivity. Her work is too good and too unique to ever be successfully mimicked.

Excellent intro by her old friend, Robert Creeley, as well.
