Having recently read Host, by Stephenie Meyer, I couldn't help but compare them. The suspense was there and the plot was interesting - but I found the ending a let down....is a sequel to come?

Didn’t Like It

The book description of Being makes it sound exciting and interesting. The beginning immediately draws you in with a tense atmosphere just waiting to explode. The author threw in some interesting ideas, and the writing format was eye-catching and effective.

However, good ideas and attractive format is not going to cut it for Being. The plot was poorly developed, with the same monotonous feel throughout the whole book and the ending was left unresolved. This made the story rather dull...
