Her parents split up when she was little, and so she only lives with her dad. But sometimes, on her birthday, something special comes in the mail for Dizzy. Sometime's, it's a postcard. She has a rag doll, a dream catcher, various postcards, and a sun hat. Then, on her 12th birthday, something special comes for Dizzy. Something she never expected.
I really, really like this book. It was a little too predictable, at some points, and usually I like books with a twist ending or something. But it was predictable in a GOOD way. One of those ways where you're like, "Oh, hurry up! I really want it to happen! Like really, really soon!" And then usually, it happens. At some points in the story, I got frustrated with a few characters, which sounds odd when you think about it, but normal in real life. This book shows the love between a girl and her mother. ”
“This was a really good book about betrayal, hope, and love. It's also a good book from a hippies point of view.”

Aeryn Mcmillan Davia wrote this review Thursday, July 26, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No“ Dizzy is about a girl who on her birthday finds her divorced mother. Her mother took her away without even asking and her great story about her mother. She finds her perfect boyfriend, Flynn. There is a terrible tragedy and Mouse gets burnt and so does Flynn. They get found out and Dizzy’s dad comes back to give Dizzy’s mum a mouth full! The dog dies, Mouse goes into custody and Flynn stays in hospital while the dog dies. It is a very sad book. Dizzy’s mum left when she was little, but when she shows up years later, Dizzy’s whole world is thrown into a spin. Whisked away to Scotland, Dizzy meets her mums new boy friend and his son Mouse.
