This is the second time reading this book. It still had me sitting on the edge of my seat.

Didn’t Like It

I'm not sure what it was about this one, but I really couldn't get into it. I like Koontz a lot, but this didn't grab me like the others did. I may give it another shot someday, but for right now, not one of my favorites.

Typical Koontz. I have yet to be super impressed with any of his books as they are fairly formulaic, the characters lack more than the most minimal of depth, and you can predict within 20 pages almost the entire ending. That being said, they are great bathroom reading because I can read a page or two and put them down without feeling that "I need to read just one more page" urge that gets me with better books. They are fun in small doses but after 2-3 in a row, I have to switch over to another author to break up the monotony.

Mad scientist gone awry. If you like science you'll love the book.

Koontz foray into spy type novels. This guy is a great author in any genre and this is a great read.

Now this book was weird. It was a page turner but the way things start to unfold in this town leaves you wanting to read as much and as fast as you can so you can figure out what the hell is going on with the people in Moonlight Cove. I enjoyed it a lot. What I like about Dean Koontz is he seems to have a very big imagination.

Couldn't get into it, for the first time in forever I didn't make it to the end... and that's from someone who finished 'the hickory staff Robert' Scott & Jay Gordon!

Too much going on, but in the end, very... scary and kinda depressing.

Dean is my favorite author! Midnight, Whispers, Winter Moon, and Cold Fire are my four favorites by him.

This was the very first Dean Koontz book I read. This was the book that made me want to read all the rest. A gripping thriller!
