Eliza is married with children, and to all appearances seems happy. But she has a past that no one (save a few people) know of. For 6 weeks, as a teenager, she was abducted by a man named Walter. Not only did Walter kill two other teenage girls, she suspects that he may have killed many others. Eliza is haunted by the fact that she was the one to get alive. Rumors abound concerning that--some suspect that she and Walter were lovers. But Eliza attempts to cobble her life back together, changing her name and moving to another town to try to move as far away from her former life. Now, all these years later, she is contacted by Walter, who is now in prison and waiting on Death Row. What does he want? How can she protect her children?

Notes for Parents edit see section history

Reading Level: Young Adults

This novel is really marketed for adults, but I don't see the harm of a mature teenager reading this. If anything, I think it would be a good thing, considering the dangers of abduction.
