“you can't really read this book with any twist of "life lessons" as Millman would want you to, to it's a fine story nonetheless. nothing extraordinary, but it was a quick read and gripping enough.”

Dan Millman is powerful writer and he continues to prove it over and over again. Recommended it be read last in the Peaceful Warrior Saga. I plan to read this book as many times as I can.”

He is able to blend the lessons in to the story more subtlety than his previous works. While the story itself was a tad predictable and simple, it was a good story none the less. I love reading Millman's works, and this one goes up right next to Way of the Peaceful Warrior.
If you haven't read Way of the Peaceful Warrior yet, make sure you do not read Dan's epilogue in The Journeys of Socrates. There are some.. spoilers there.”
