I recently re-read it and while my passion for it has faded a little, the romantic, noble, mysterious hero of the novel has lost no appeal. “It is a wonderful romance and a great historical view of the French Revolution. The cunning that is the Scarlet Pimpernel is fantastic; just see if you can guess who he'll dress up as next.”

“This book was cute and romantic, and I've always loved stories set in the French Revolution, for some reason. However, reading it again as an adult, it seems a bit more dull than it did upon the first read.”
