I enjoy all of Jean Plaidy's books so it is worth the read for anyone interested in Tudor England.”

Katherine of Aragon had the good fortune to be a princess of Spain. However, at 14 her father, the King makes a marriage contract for her with England. She is betrothed to Arthur. Arthur is the sickly older brother of Henry who is to inherit the throne. After her marriage, he dies and in the middle of her youth she is a widow. She is taken with Henry who is tall, good looking, athletic and they are married.
After many miscarriages and no heir, her life begins to come apart as Henry begins to look elsewhere for sex, and a possible new Queen. If you have never read Katherine's story, you will love this book. I recommend it.”
“Until reading this, I simply thought of her as Bloody Mary. I love getting my history from fiction. Well-researched historical fiction was my love at that time in my live. Plaidy was one of the best.”
