Lots of save the earth stuff in the last third of the book. But he make a point that if he were to start a band now, he'd do it without a record lable. Meaning, the power of the internet is great for all start up business.”

The book has a lot of great nugget of wisdom (I us stickies to mark pages and there are a lot sticking out now that I have finished), and some great stories. I especially like his work and leadership in the realm of social capitalism.”

1) People respond with excitement when you give them greater responsibility
2) No matter how smart you are, doing it alone can only get you so far
3) Teams dont last for ever
4) Fun is the feeling you get when you are on top of things
5) Know your coworkers at a personal level
6) Research the achilles heels of different global industries and see how you can solve them
7) Try to find customer segment everyone else is ignoring
8) Always have a plan-B and be financially prepared for it
9)Good Communication and Attention to detail (keep a notebook which helps to see the small details)
10)Protect your downside - hedge your bets
11) Be on top of things - check every invoice
12) There are no shortcuts - be involved in everything - do everything yourself initially
Treat everyday as the first day at your job”
