Angel is a stained glass artist. She had a great loss four years ago..in an auto accident her mother and father and fiance and his mother were killed violently. She was saved by her future brother-in-law. When Derry calls she will do anything she can for him. She meets Miles Hawkins through Derry. The plot thickens. We have a Hawk and an Angel with violent pasts tossed together on Vancouver Island. Wonderful story”

One thing I noticed about this book is that it started exactly how the other Elizabeth Lowell book I’ve read started: The main man and woman meet each other right off the bat and hate each other but have instant chemistry. This was alright I guess, as far as romances go. I got a little tired of the constant references to one being an angel and the other a hawk.”

The constant struggle to trust and be trusted in return. I will never forget the image of her lying on the floor among broken glass, and Hawk coming in seeing a candy cane in her hand with a green ribbon. And the emotion that went through him at how much Angel loved him and how desperate she was to show him how much she loved him. You'll have to read the book to understand, but its a beautiful story. ”
