I enjoyed this book but i didn't think it was as scary as everyone made it out to be. Stephen King is much scarier.

I finally slogged my way to the end of this book and feel cheated for doing so. The ending sucked.

And...thinking about it some more...the beginning and middle sucked too. Oh, there were some interesting bits, but not enough to make this 480 page paperweight worth the effort.

I'm about half-way through this beast and am totally underwhelmed. Somebody tell me...does the last half of the book make finishing it worthwhile?
