Cassie meets the love of her life one summer but then he disappears without even telling her his name or where he lives. But she has already fallen in love with him, she felt a really deep connection between them.
When she is forced to move into her mother's hometown, she is still thinking about him.
She meets a group of teenagers who live on her street and they insist that she is a witch like them.
She clicks with the leader, Diana, right away.
Diana raves about her boyfriend, Adam, who is away looking for The Master Tools but will come back eventually in a few weeks. Apparently, Diana and Adam had been dating ever since they were little, even seven years old.
When Cassie first meets Adam, she is shocked.
Adam is the guy that she met on the beach that day and thought he was the one. She and Adam kiss but then they realize that they would be hurting Diana if they continue seeing each other so they try to ignore their feelings and go their separate ways.
They do manage to do just that for a while but then they almost kiss again right in front of their friends.
They manage to cover up that incident thought. Then, Black John comes back from the dead and haunts them all. ”

“If you like witches in books then this is the series for you. It talks about this girl Cassie who discorveres her family history is whiches. Then when she is at the new salem high school in new england she meets some other whitches like herself there too and becomes friends with them too. if you want to know what other things happen to Cassie then get this book and read the series for yourself to see what happens next to her.”
