A volcanic fury from page one, whose tenderness, compassion, and pursuit of his mistress "life " is often orlooked or oversahdowed by the stain of his war time pamphlets. Indeed, I am never really done reading Journey or his sophmore and arguably more artisitc Death on the Installment Plan. Gunther deserves the backlash for a sixty year silence more I think , but that is another debate altogether. ”
