“Maggie O'Neill must turn on her own charms-mystical and otherwise-while investigating the death of one of her customers from the antique shop, Enchantments.”

I enjoyed this one so much I'll put book # 3 closer to the top of my tbr pile.
Like I previously mentioned, this is a light read, quick but fun. It's also written in the first person. While I don't like too many first person pov stories, I do love this series. The main character, Maggie O'Neill is just someone you relate with.”
“Well this is better than the first book in the series.....
But I am gonna tell you...I liked the mystery part...and I liked the "paranormal" part, because I live like that...but I do not like dumb-bunny scaredy-cats...and I do not like run on description...that is just filler and has little or no bearing on the story.....
I have just finished this second book, which was better...and not as much description...but there might have been, because I skimmed the "blathering" parts! Oh and the dumb-bunny scaredy-cat hasn't evolved much...but it has only been two months in the book's time frame from the last murder.
Hmmmmm......
So...the Hottie Cop isn't talking to her (you know he doesn't like paranormals) because she opened her mouth before he could tell her his reasoning for arresting the G-Witch (to keep her out of harms way & get to the real killer).... She's withholding major evidence from the police....I told you she's a dumb-bunny. She still works in a paranormal shop but gets spooked when the paranormal happens around her (well Duh! Look where you work & who you spend time with)...and she still will not tell her mother or sister to stop dumping on her!
But the mystery was ok...this young WRAP (White Rich American Princess) gets murdered Found dead in the water, but no water in her lungs, a bullet in the back of her head....the gal has a roll of banknotes that she didn't get from her parents, she has two guys on the line, she writes a secret sex blog (but all the h.s kids know about it), she takes spy photos of herself & the men she S****S....and hides the evidence. Her mother finds out (after the girl gets murdered) and gives the evidence to dumb-bunny scaredy-cat...who instead of turning it over to the police...decides to take a look at the photos...bad move.....”
“A good second book in the this cozy mystery series. Maggie O'Neil finds herself involved in solving another murder in the sleepy town of Stony Mill when one of her customers disappears shortly after visiting the store. Maggie finds that her pyshic powers can be a helpful thing when it comes to solving the crime. This cozy was a cute and fun read. ”

I did enjoy this book, it isn't as strong as the first book but still very enjoyable and a light and fun read!

It's been two months since Maggie started working at Enchancements and discovered her empathic ability. She's learning how to deal with those, sort of. It's her love life that needs some help, well her non existant love life. When a teenager comes in to buy an expensive gift for her mother, all in cash, then winds up dead, Maggie finds herself entwined in another murder.

“The second book in the Bewitching series is even more disappointing than the first. Again, all the characters from The Trouble with Magic are back sans one; the most interesting, Enchantment owner Felicity Dow. She makes an appearance midway through the book but is rather inconsequential to the mystery of finding out who has killed the local entitled teenage "princess" thought to have committed suicide. The book focuses more on teaching us about the New Age witch world and the stumbling of new witch Maggie O'Neill than creating a good murder mystery. ”
