Description

The first of a five-novel series called "Chronicles du plateau Mont-Royal", about the inhabitants of a working-class street in Montreal. The story begins in May 1942, and traces the characters living on the street, from the ex-courtesan Ti-Lou to the gluttonous couple who eat continually.
