I think this book should be read by everyone living on the planet. It is extremely informative on how to treat a dying friend/relative. It gives practical advice as well as calming meditations to help the family member process the experience. I loved the detailed explanations of what physically...

Not sure this is the sort of book one "rates". Its wisdom, often dry and redundant, is a road map for living a sane and peaceful life. I doubt I'll ever make it to the end of the book or, if I do, I'll probably re-read it if there's enough time left in my life. I'm sure its teachings will come in handy.

An amazing work of art! This is such a needed book in our crass, commerical, America. This is a book on the meaning of life and compassion and loving our neighbor. It is kind of like the Bible but with animal stories instead of people stories. I doubt you could read it without being profoundly changed at some level.

Interesting book about Tibetan Buddhist traditions and beliefs. I don't know if many people really do have a choice in how they die but its good to know how one can prepare onself.

Not a book you can breeze through. Not because it's a touph read but because it causes you to stop frequently and ponder. Alot of what I've read so far has since stuck with me and has helped shape how I see things.

As I read this book, an unexplainable sense of tranquility and peace enveloped me and I became a much calmer, more accepting and cheerful person.
