“The language is a little difficult but this is an interesting read with lots of warfare and chivalry. Good for anyone interested in medieval literature.”

“Excellent story of the last stand of the rear guard of King Charlemagne's army. Roland leads his men to a fight to the death. Recommended”

“I'm glad my Western History professor made us read this book. It has a good story and has great characters as well. Not a boring read at all. :D”

“Pretty good story. Very repetitive though. Interesting look at a hero. He wasn't that sympathetic, but for some reason I still like him. It was pretty enjoyable as far as stories go.”
