Didn’t Like It“Having suffered the trauma of having to review and therefore recall “Dream A Little Dream“, I am back, dear readers, to take another stab at Susan Elizabeth Philip’s NFL series and finally finish it. “Love those Chicago Stars. This is Kevin Tucker's story. Self-centered lady killer Kevin is the ace quarterback of the Stars. Molly is his boss's sister. She has had a crush on him forever. She finally gives in to her crazy instincts and seduces him inhis bed when he is asleep and a little hung-over. The fun, romance and sadness combine for another wonderful book by SE Phillips.”

Well, be one step closer to finishing it at least. Thankfully, Kevin’s book, “This Heart of Mine” restores my faith in Susan Elizabeth Philip and her NFL series. Granted it is still a little…how shall I put this delicately…questionable, it’s a lot better than *motions with head to the other book*.
Dear patrons of our website. I know you think I’m being harsh but bear with me here. Before you pass judgment on me, you must know that the essential foundational plot of the book involves the heroine Molly (remember her? The irritating kid sister I wanted to desperately to maim of va-va-voom Phoebe from book 1 of the NFL series? Well she’s all grown up now, less irritating on some levels, more on others unfortunately) sneaking into Kevin’s room (Kevin’s a young, stunningly good looking NFL star (the replacement of Bobby Tom (ooh Bobby!!)) because in a twist of fate (i.e. communication wires get crossed) the two end up in Phoebe and Dan’s cabin in some mountain at night, taking off her night gown and basically “attacking” him in his sleep. You know if it was the other way around, it would have been called rape. I believe Kevin called it rape at some point in the book. I just…was this the only conceivable way to put Molly and Kevin together? Its almost implying to me that the only way a hot NFL god can notice a plain looking girl who has had a crush on him for YONKS is for her to creep into his room and literally have her way with him until he is unable to stop what he is doing even though by this point he realizes who is in bed with him and that no, this ain’t a dream. *slams head on my new Hello Kitty desk*

I loved the main character so much! I loved the funny quotes from her children's books at the top of every chapter. The geeky sister who never thought she was good enough gets a love story of her very own. This was fabulous!”
