“I love this novel. Finished it in just a few hours.. skipped lunch to finish it. So wonderful. A story about trust, forgiveness and LOVE. Love betw. man and women, betw. human beings and humans and animals.
I cried when Daisy saves HER tiger from being shot by ALex... and has to lead him to his cage again. I really like the commmunication betw. Daisy and HER tiger and HER elephant as well.
I also cried when Alex confesses his love to Daisy in the zoo after months of searching for her.
Wonderful ending... for ALex & Daisy & her bloved animals.”

“Rather interesting story with a circus setting incorporating elephants and tiger. I understand Alex had issues and his domineering behavior brought out Daisy's strength of character but I felt his bossiness to her meekness overplayed.”Dawn ♥ romance wrote this review Monday, July 4, 2011. “Oh my Goodness! I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved this book. After reading 2 of SEP's books and finding them so-so I was beginning to wonder what all her hype was about. After reading this book I know now.
Phillips has an uncanny ability to take a lady who should, by all accounts, be someone the reader can't like and turn her into someone who the reader is standing up whooping for in record time.
Daisy is just this heroine. I didn't want to like her at first. Rich, spoiled, not too bright and annoying was how she started out in this book. I quickly found out that there was a lot more to Daisy then that. I found myself smiling at her antics and fuming when someone treated her with an unkindness.
Alex was the strong alpha male that I really felt was a mystery through most of the book. It wasn't until over half way through the book that I really got to know him and realize that he also wasn't what he seemed either.
Together Daisy and Alex make for an excellent romantic duo. They were completely opposites of each other but yet complimented each other very well. I am now looking forward to more books by Phillips and hoping that the next book I read will have characters like these that stay with me months after finishing their book.
My rating is a total 5 Stars. I would recommend any fan of contemporary romance to go out and get this book and read it. You might want to hang on to the book because you will probably want to re-read it over and over.
“Other kids dreamed of running away to join the circus. When I was a wee chicky duck, I dreamed of becoming Barbie’s fashion consultant (that hot pink leather needs a little something more, darling. Too understated. It’s a wonder that Mattel never had a class action suit filed against them for weaning lots of prepubescent little girls on whore fashion.). It was either that, or run away to join Jem and the Holograms.
So what, you might ask, has suddenly made me, um, about a decade later, decide that I want to run away and join the circus? Simply, Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Now, I know that my partner in crime, Sheridan Sakura Carlotta, stands by the Chicago Stars football series by SEP. In fact, she has been known to accost hapless hunks in Chicago, with a football in one hand and a martini in the other, demanding to know if they are members of the NFL. But for me, SEP’s greatest book is ”Kiss an Angel” otherwise known as That Carnie Book.

“A light and entertaining love story though the story is a bit far-fetched especially Alex's life story. But the story-telling and characterization is great though I'm not satisfied with how the story ends. I feel SEP could have given it a better ending. ”SISM wrote this review Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
