A little slow in the beginning but it really picks up. All I can say is that Paulo Coelho is a wonderful storyteller. Sometimes you really have to pay attention and the subject is definitly mystical. A captivating main character and a little bit of mystery and lot of ancient lore.

I like Coelho’s writing style in this novel. The storyline flows smoothly in each stage of Athena’s life, even though each is being told from a different person’s point of view. However, the plot itself is not something I consider to be engaging, neither related to life as it seems so fictional. Yes I know IT IS A FICTION but there are several novels, despite being fictional, had left me wondering if the stories could be true in any way, or any part of this world. Therefore, I can’t help but...
