Time travel to Scotland, the best. Duncan MacDougall was cursed centuries ago to wander the halls of his island castle until the only woman who can free him comes along. Miss Elizabeth Pudding is told she must live at Blackstone Castle 6 months to inherit it. She sees the ghost and the fun begins. Loved it

Sandy Blair’s, “A Man in a Kilt”, Katherine Elizabeth Pudding, New Jersey native, can’t believe her luck. She just inherited a castle in Scotland, Castle Blackstone. Growing up an orphan she has always longed for a home and now it has fallen into her lap. Unknown to “Beth” her castle has a six feet tall gorgeous secret that roams its halls. Her ghost saves her from a watery death and she find herself transported to another time and place. Mistaken for another woman “Beth” finds herself married to her hunky Scotsman but in this life he very much alive. Beth just needs to find out why she was transported to the past and the mystery that haunts her home. “A Man in a Kilt” is an unusual, light hearted non traditional romance. I really like the beginning of the story but as the book enters the past it loses something. A good read if you’re just looking for a fun, silly light read but skip it if you’re into more a passionate love story. This unique love story is very dry on the passionate front but entertaining if nothing else.

8 of 11 people found the following review helpful: 5.0 out of 5 stars fast, fun and fantastic by great new author.., April 25, 2005 By Laura Eakes (Port Neches, TX USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) I really enjoyed this one! The heroine, Beth, a modern day New Yorker who inherits a Scottish castle and Duncan, the long dead laird of the castle, cursed to wander the castle. The heroine is a nice change of pace-a "plain jane"-it's wonderful to see how Duncan's view of her being so changes as he develops feelings for her. The chemistry was excellent betwwen the characters, with enough interesting secondary characters and villians, adventure, laugh out loud humor, and quite spicy love scenes to make for an entertaining fast (315 page)book. The only thing I fault of the book is the horrendous, bland cover-but that's not the author's fault-so 4.66 stars!
