  • Anton Gorodezki: A Light Magician.
  • Anton Gorodetsky: Anton is a mid-level Other from whom the entire Watch series centers around. He is by no means increadibly powerful and in such gives a seperate perception to the war that exists between the most powerful others from The Night Watch and The Day Watch. He is mentioned in the 2nd story but does not become the protagonist until the 3rd story.
  • Igor Teplov: A Light Battle Magician from The Night Watch that is featured primarily in the 1st and 3rd story.
  • Alisa Donnikova: A mid-level witch of The Day Watch who was involved in a relationship with Zabulon but due to the events of the previous novel, NightWatch, had been estranged. She is the protagonist of the first story where she looses her powers in a battle with The Night Watch and is sent to a children's camp to gain her abilities back.
  • Witezslav: Great Vampire of The Inquisition.
  • Gesar: Great Magician of The Night Watch who heads up the Moscow's Night Watch. He often interferes with the world's actions in the name of greater good but has taken responsibility for a number of failed attempts for peace including facism in Europe during World War II.
  • Zabulon: Dark Magician of The Day Watch who heads up the Moscow's Day Watch.
  • Svetlana Nazarova: A Great Enchantress who seperated herself from The Night Watch and lost a great deal of access to her power. She is married to Anton Gorodetsky and is destined to give birth to the next Light Messiah.
