“I really had some high hopes for this entry in the "Watch" series, but I turned out to be disappointed. I did not enjoy having to read through the somewhat (but not quite) graphic depictions of fortification in the first half of the book.
Plus, compared to the first entry in the series Night Watch, there really wasn't much going on. It was mostly theory of what's happening with who and talking between people than any type of real suspense or action. The type of suspense it was trying to create I just didn't feel it. I just didn't really care about any of the main characters, except for the main character in the second section of the book which was amazing.
It just didn't seem to hold my attention. I had to force myself to read through it most of the time. I hope the third entry fairs better.”
