Some of the best writing in history - The Soul of Man Under Socialism is brilliant; De Profundis is crucial, given that most of us only know of Wilde's through salacious commentary and the reporting of the scandal in the British press; "I do not defend my conduct. I explain it..." The explanation is an incredible window into Wilde's life. He is an amazing author, and an amazing human being. There is SO MUCH to learn from this man's life and writings - not always to emulate, and he would be the first to agree - but definitely to learn and think about.
