“In all of it's simplicity, this book is worth many words more. I sat down for two hours (cake was eaten, and contacts replaced with glasses, making it two hours) and came out of the sitting with the book finished, and a need for more books like this. ”

Yes | No“I didn't actually mean to read this, I was just looking it over for a class, but after reading the first 3-4 pages I was so interested in what happens to Yann that I had to keep going. The POV changes for the different chapters were really effective, I thought.”

“Very exciting tale of brothers who journey far away from home to find the ocean and be freed from their life. Very quirky, yet enjoyable.”

I enjoyed the suspense provided in the plot and the empowering feeling of plowing through a full-length book in two hours. It's a re-telling of the Tom Thumb Fairy Tale, although you'd hardly know it. Plenty to talk about for discussion. ”

“I picked this book up on a whim, because I liked the cover and the author's name! I'm glad I did, because it was wonderful. It was short and sweet, but it spoke such volumes. To this day, I still think about this book.”
